Review
This is a very small program designed to teach how to tell the time correctly. It offers three different clock faces namely: Standard clock face (Arabic numerals), Classic clock face (Roman numerals) and Modern clock face (no numbers). It is a very basic system of teaching: there is a picture of the clock face displaying a certain time and a question asking what time it is, you then enter the correct time and if correct are tested again with a different time. There are only three questions for each clock face so I suppose it could be classified as teaching by repetition.
The user interface is very basic and the graphic detail is minimum. The help function doesn't offer much either. There is no option to customise, not even colour selection. Nor any option to resize, which makes it pointless to try teach using a digital projector. This software is clearly aimed at very young students but one still feels a bit more could have been put into its development. There are definitely better options out there. |
